We do love September! As the last days of summer gently merge into Autumn there is a real excitement and energy in the air as a sense of new season, new start takes over and invigorates. Time to start rethinking what we want to wear, eat, see and do and September has some of the best offerings of the year. So turn a new leaf and delve into the new season.

A whole month dedicated to Organic everything. What is not to love! We are firm believers in the benefits of choosing Organic and the positive impact Organic production has on people and the environment. So in September we will be celebrating our Organic brands, introducing some exciting new products and featuring some amazing Organic food inspiration. Make the change and be prepared to be amazed at how good it feels.

WHAT TO SEE….
Ai Wei Wei at the Royal Academy
The highly anticipated exhibition of the works of renowned dissident Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei finally comes to the Royal Academy this month including some new works, never seen before. Curated in collaboration with Ai Weiwei from his studio in Beijing, the RA will present some of his most important works from the time he returned to China from the US in 1993 right up to present day. Among new works created specifically for our galleries and courtyard will be a number of large-scale installations, as well as works showcasing everything from marble and steel to tea and glass. With typical boldness, the chosen works explore a multitude of challenging themes, drawing on his own experience to comment on creative freedom, censorship and human rights, as well as examining contemporary Chinese art and society.

London & New York Fashion Weeks
Make like the fashion gliteratti and head to London and New York this month to embrace the energy of two of the world's most iconic cities during Fashion Weeks. New York's cosmopolitan edge and inherent cool has this season attrarcted Givenchy to show in the city for the first time which is bound to provide plenty drama. Shows are taking place in the Meatpacking District and Chelsea so make a beeline for The Standard to enjoy the people watching. Meanwhile London Fashion Week is moving to the somewhat grimier location of Brewer Street Car Park. Street style photographers and bloggers will no doubt throng the surrounding area making for a heady atmosphere full of London creatviity. Even if you can't blag your way into the shows, go for the buzz and enjoy the people watching.

WHAT TO EAT....
Fruits of the Sea
September is an amazing time of year for food. Some of our favourite fruits are perfectly ripe including Figs and Apricots - Tart anyone?! But even more exciting is the prospect of new season seafood - Oysters and Mussels straight off the boat, could there be anything more delicious?! Such is the importance of September that there are many festivals taking this month celebrating the new crop - one of the most famous is the Galway Oyster Festival in Ireland. The festival includes seafood trails, oyster opening (shucking) championships and the Oyster ‘Olympics’ or World Oyster Opening Championship!! If you can't get over to Ireland, bake yourself some Soda Bread get down to your local fishmonger and find yourself some Guinness to recreate the atmosphere at home!
