WHAT TO DO…
Immerse Yourself in Craftsmanship
May sees the first ever London Craft Week in the captial. The event showcases exceptional craftsmanship through a journey-of-discovery programme featuring hidden workshops, celebrated makers, other lesser known makers and highly specialised skills alongside famous shops, galleries and luxury brands.
Gather&See will also be highlighting the beauty of craftsmanship this month by taking a look behind brands such as the amazing Hiro + Wolf, explaining the process and introducing the master craftsmen who produce their wonderful jewellery, handmade in Kenya. Discover our Handcrafted brands HERE.

Make the most of New Season Produce
Asparagus, strawberries, jersey royal potatoes. Need we say more? Now is the time to stock up on fresh British produce. Grilled asaparagus with melted butter is an absolute favourite - simple and delicious we sometimes shave a little parmesan on top for added decadence. When it comes to strawberries there is simply no comparison to British grown and nothing better than picking your own - what a way to spend a sunny afternoon. Lastly the humble potatoe - except the good old Jersey's are anything but - boil them up with some mint and serve with just about anything for a very special side. Its all about seasonal for us!
WHAT TO SEE…
Riviera Style: Resort & Swimwear Since 1900 at the London Fashion & Textiles Museum
If you are looking for some vintage inspiration for your summer holiday trousseau, this could be the exhibition for you. From the English seaside to the Côte d’Azur and California, Riviera Style celebrates fashion at its most fun. With swimsuits and sarongs, brightly patterned beach cover-ups, boat neck Bretons and beach pyjamas, palazzo pants and playsuits, bikinis and burkinis, the exhibition features over 100 years of clothes for leisure. Riviera Style brings together a diverse range of clothing worn in and by the sea. A key feature of the items selected is the importance of fabric, from early examples to produce the perfect fabric that didn’t bag or sag when wet, to more recent technical developments designed to improve fit and increase speed in the water.

WHERE TO GO…
One of the most romantic cities in the world for good reason. Florence in high summer is intensely hot making May the perfect time to visit for warm weather without the stifling heat of July and August. Get inspired by the unparalleled collection of renaissance art and architecture on offer around every corner from Michaelangelo's David to the awe inspiring Duomo and the outstanding Uffizi museum, it is a feast for your eyes and senses. And that is before we have even mentioned food. Sustain yourself during site-seeing with a glass of red and amazing cured meats and bread the All'Antico Vinaio and finish off your evening with an aperitivo at La Terraza Bar at Hotel Continentale for jaw dropping views of the sun setting over the arno to the one side and the Duomo to the other. Bellisimo!
WHAT TO WEAR...
White, white and more white!
White is the hot colour for this season and we couldn't be happier. It goes with everything, sets off your summer tan perfectly and gives a crisp fresh look that we are ready for after the long dark winter. Beaumont Organic have some of the very best organic cotton white dresses and blouses. Ardeen is a minimalist and cool shirt dress meanwhile Barbara features a simple volumous T shape with button down back and the prettiest broderie anglaise trim on the sleeves. Simply divine. We love to wear our whites with A Peace Treaty's gorgeous gold jewellery including the fabulous Nuku necklace, Wesa earrings and delectable Tiya ring.
