This month's Gather&See girl is the lovely Georgie from the fantastic blog, City Girl At Heart. Naturally sustainably minded and stylish, Georgie is a girl after our own heart and we are delighted to share her interview with you. Enjoy!
What or who inspires you?
My children inspire me. They question everything, when you get older you accept far too easily without questioning how or why.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
If your life flashes before your eyes make sure it's worth watching.
What advice would you give your teenage self?
It's ok to make mistakes - learn from them and move on.
What makes you angry?
I watched the True Cost movie this week. It makes me so angry that people are still making clothes in unsafe working conditions for an unfair wage and our natural world is being destroyed to satisfy the West's obsession with fast fashion.
What makes you happy?
Switching off technology and enjoying simple pleasures. A walk with my family followed by a home cooked meal round the dinner table and a good chat. Old fashioned communications without phones or iPads.
What is your favourite restaurant?
The Limetree Kitchen is a gem of a restaurant in my home town of Lewes.
Where's your go to place to relax?
I love to run in the South Downs National Park first thing in the morning, just me and my music.
Latest discover at home or abroad?
In August we stayed with friends in their home in the Languedoc. I lived in France for 20 years and this is an area I don't know at all. Unpretencious beautiful villages, vineyards and landscapes.
Where is on your travel hit list for 2015?
Paris for a girls trip. My favourite city in the world after London.
Which city in the world would you love to live in for just 1 year?
Which is your favourite piece on the G&S website at the moment?
The Osei Duro Meaena Print Silk Top. I like versatile pieces I know would work with lots of outfits.
What is your personal style?
Classic with muted colours and the odd splash of colour thrown in here and there!
Who is your fashion hero / style icon?
Which item of clothing do you most treasure?
A suede camel coat I bought from a charity shop in Muswell Hill 12 years ago. Still my favourite coat.
What is your can't live without beauty product?
I honestly don't have one but I do always buy organic beauty products. Neals Yard sell everything you need but AS. Apothecary in Lewes sell some really special natural products. Their face creams are amazing.
Why is shopping ethical important to you?
What makes me angry also makes me passioinate and I care passioinately about the world we live in and the people that live in it.
Your favourite Gather&See picks?
I own a pair of black skinny Nobody jeans from Gather&See - they are my wardrobe staple!
