Festival season is now in full swing with Glastonbury taking place this weekend. Besides the music, and the weather, festival style is one of the hottest topics for festival goers with the opportunity to dress up or down and let their creativity run wild when it comes to their wardrobes. So, what to wear?! Here are a couple of our top tips:
Go bright and fun, with brilliant bold colours and quirky prints. Its a celebration after all - your clothes should be as vibrant as the music. Conditions Apply and Osei Duro set the tone perfectly.
Choosing light weight materials that won't crease will help you look chic even if your dress has been crumpled up in the bottom of a backpack for two days. Rayon and tencel are particularly good choices. Check out Komodo's culottes and Conditions Apply's gorgeous pastel dress which looks great over a bikini with its slits up the side.
Let's face it... you are probably going to wet at some point! Take a couple of cover ups and warmer jumpers to keep you warm. Bibico's cashmere crew mix is like a cosy warm hug and Komodo's Hamptona striped number will go with everything. Meanwhile Osei Duro's Bena Scarf will double up as an extra layer worn as a scarf or protection from any downpours as a headscarf!!
You are going to be on your feet alot - now is not the time for heels of any sort and whilst a pair of wellies is a necessity in the rain a good pair of flats is essential for warmer days. Matt&Nat's vegan sandals are ideal, comfortable and cool - we'd go for the silver pair for a bit of sparkle.
You'll need a bag for all your essentials - go for small and cross body - TINCT's brand new green number is a good option or try Osei Duro's brilliant printed cotton backpack. Lastly, you are in for a few late nights and a few cheeky drinks.. a good pair of sunnies will be your saviour the next day. Carla Colour's round pair have just the right amount of festival cool - choose from grey, pink or tortoishell.
