Le Jaana work with artisans in Udaipur, India to create beautiful bags made using traditional weaving techniques. Each bag is handmade and unique, with a range of designs to choose from. The brand work to help train artisans in entrepreneurship to develop sustainable employment.
Founder, Laura, set up the brand after falling in love with the traditional Dhurries, which the brand also import to the UK. Hundreds of women dhurrie weavers have empowered themselves with their craft and they have been able to raise the living standards of their families in addition to gaining economic independence.
Over the years Le Jaana have worked with these artisans to help them become small business owners in their own rights. Many of Le Jaana's weavers are leaders within the artisan communities and the brand has conducted social programs with the aim of enhancing the skills in order to help them weave their own futures.
